Gearbox gave up on my S7 - need a honest shop in the capital (7 อ่าน)

Well, it finally happened. My 2016 S7 started making this awful grinding noise last Tuesday on my way back from Yas Island, and by the time I limped it home the DCT was basically toast, won't engage properly, reverse is completely gone, and the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. I'm absolutely gutted because I've babied this car since I bought it, always warmed it up properly and never launched it hard, but I guess these mechatronics units just have a shelf life. I've been calling around some garages in Mussafah and the quotes are all over the place, some are saying I need a full rebuild while others are pushing for a replacement unit, and I honestly don't know who to trust at this point. A mate of mine sent me a link that was basically A trusted guide to Audi transmission repair in Abu Dhabi and it had some really useful pointers about what questions to ask and what red flags to look out for, which helped a bit but I'm still nervous about making the wrong call. I don't mind spending the money if the job is done properly with genuine parts and a proper warranty, but I've heard too many horror stories about shops cutting corners or using refurbished parts that fail after a few months. Has anyone here had a positive experience with a transmission specialist in Abu Dhabi that they'd actually vouch for? I really don't want to ship the car all the way to Dubai if I can avoid it.
