How Recombination Works



Recombination works by combining two Magic or Rare items of POE currency the same class (e.g., two armor pieces, two weapons, or two pieces of jewelry). Here’s how it works in detail:



Select Two Items of the Same Class: Choose two items that share the same category—either two weapons, two armor pieces, or two jewelry items. You cannot combine items from different categories (e.g., a weapon and armor, or armor and jewelry).



Choose Modifiers to Retain: After selecting your two items, you can choose which modifiers from each item you want to retain. However, this is not guaranteed—there’s a chance that the modifiers will not be transferred onto the new item. This is where the chance meter comes into play. The higher the percentage, the more likely you are to retain the selected modifiers.



Artifacts Required: To fuel the Recombinator, you need specific artifacts based on the type of item being recombined:



Weapons: Use a Broken Circle Artifact.



Armor: Use an Order Artifact.



Jewelry: Use a Black Scythe Artifact.



Chance Meter: Each recombination has a chance meter that shows the likelihood of keeping the selected modifiers. The higher the percentage, the better your chances of success. Keep in mind, you will lose both input items if the recombination fails.



No Corrupted Items: Only Magic or Rare items can be used for buy POE2 Currency recombination. Corrupted items are not allowed, and neither are Unique items.
