Looks like the BMS reset question is a common one – Battery Zone seems to have it covered (9 อ่าน)

I’ve been reading through this thread and it’s exactly the kind of thing I’ve been worrying about. I drive a 2019 BMW X5 and my battery is on its last legs, but I’ve been putting off getting it replaced because I’m terrified of the electrical headaches that come with not resetting the Battery Management System properly. A mate of mine had his Audi battery changed at a random garage and his start-stop system never worked right again, his windows were glitchy, and he kept getting warning lights on the dash it was a nightmare. From what I’m reading here and elsewhere, you really need a professional who understands that the BMS needs to be told that a new battery is installed, otherwise the car’s computer keeps treating it like the old one and can overcharge or undercharge it, which ruins the new battery fast . I saw that this battery shop in UAE, Battery Zone, actually mentions BMS reset and registration for European cars on their site, and they have certified technicians who do a full diagnostic, including testing the alternator and starter before they even swap the battery. They also cover the DIFC and Business Bay area where I work, so I might give them a try. Has anyone here actually used them for this exact scenario and can confirm they brought the right diagnostic tools to do the coding properly?
