Genuinely confused about what to prioritise when sourcing packaging for high value goods (10 อ่าน)

This might be a weird question but I'm kind of at a crossroads with our setup and I figure someone here has been through something similar. We're a small electronics accessories importer based in Ajman and up until now most of our shipments have come pre-packaged from the manufacturer so we never really had to think too hard about the container side of things. That changed recently because we've started doing some local redistribution to retailers across the northern emirates and suddenly we're responsible for making sure things arrive intact, which is a completely different problem than I expected. A friend in the logistics space pointed me toward Crateco Pack LLC after I mentioned the issue and said they had looked at them when researching smart choices for secure storage and transport solutions for their own operation, which honestly gave me a starting point I didn't have before. What I'm still unclear on though is how much of the decision should be driven by the nature of the product versus the frequency of handling versus just budget, because I keep getting pulled in different directions depending on who I talk to. Some people say go rigid and reusable from the start, others say for our current volume it's overkill. I don't want to underspend and regret it after one bad shipment but I also don't want to overcapitalise on packaging before we even know if this redistribution side of the business is going to scale. Would genuinely appreciate hearing how others in product distribution around the UAE approached this early stage decision click here himkhoj.com/haripurdhar/crateco-pack-llc .
