How do inspections work for cars that can't be driven (engine issues)? (15 อ่าน)

I'm looking at a 2014 Mercedes CLA45 AMG in Al Rashidiya that has a blown turbo. The seller is asking a low price because the car won't start or drive. I'm thinking of buying it as a project car and fixing it myself, but I want to make sure the engine itself isn't damaged and the transmission is okay. I want to get an inspection even though the car can't be driven. I found a company that offers Seasoned Assessment Dubai Rashidiya and they said they can still do a compression test, borescope the cylinders, check for metal in the oil, scan for codes, and inspect the chassis. Has anyone here bought a non running car after an inspection and felt confident? What are the limitations of an inspection on a car that can't be driven? I'm worried about hidden issues like transmission problems that would only show up on a road test. The price is low enough that I'm willing to take some risk, but I also don't wanna buy a car that needs a new engine. Any advice on what to ask the inspector to focus on would be great. Thanks.****Title: Got my first "check engine" light after buying a used car. Inspection missed it?
